Spritzguss for Kosmetikverpackung Components

The cosmetic packaging samples in JingZhan’s company profile show a variety of cylindrical containers, caps and applicator-style components. Their shapes and finishes illustrate the different appearance and assembly considerations that arise when tooling and moulding packaging parts.

Start with the complete package

A container or cap is judged as part of an assembly. The opening, closure, tube and decorative features should be reviewed against their mating components before tooling begins. Thread or snap engagement, alignment and the areas touched during use can all influence the mould design.

The samples include both transparent and opaque-looking parts as well as reflective finishes. A drawing should identify which faces are visible and how appearance will be evaluated. The images do not specify the material grades or any coating process; these requirements should be confirmed for each project.

Plan for appearance and repeatability

Gate position, parting lines and ejection marks deserve particular attention on cosmetic packaging, where a small mark may be highly visible. Surface texture and polish requirements can be defined by zone, with agreed reference samples where appropriate.

During a tooling review, consider wall transitions, release direction, venting and cooling alongside the desired finish. Trial samples can then be checked for filling, local distortion, flash and fit with the actual mating parts. The final checks depend on the design and the customer's acceptance criteria.

Information to prepare for a quotation

  • Part and mating-component drawings with the current revision.
  • Material, colour, transparency and surface finish requirements.
  • Closure function, visible zones and permitted gate or parting-line locations.
  • Expected quantities, packaging needs and any project-specific testing.
